Rehabilitation

Providing treatment and care specifically for birds of prey.

We are a licensed TWRA Wildlife Rehabilitation facility.

With this initiative, our goal is to offer the best specialized care we can for injured raptors and birds of prey. This means hawks, owls, falcons, kites, eagles, harriers, ospreys and vultures.

When it comes to raptors, these birds are not pets. Our goal at MTRC is always to return them to the wild once they have healed. Sometimes that's not possible. Only if they cannot fend for themselves in the wild would we consider keeping them on board as education ambassadors. Every bird deserves their "freedom day", and we strive to make that happen.

MTRC is a non-profit corporation. This is a labor of love. That means we don't get paid to do this and we are not funded by any government agency. Our funding is based on grants and generous donations from every day folks like you, and we appreciate all of our supporters more than you can ever know. Donations provide food, shelter and medical care to the birds at our facility and are tax deductible. Thank you for your support.

If you get outside much, it is only a matter of time before you come across an injured animal. Injured wildlife can be dangerous, so it is important to contact a rehabilitation specialist right away if you find one.
